Deanne is a dedicated advocate committed to empowering individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, as well as those who are high functioning. With over ten years of experience in the field, Deanne returned to school in 2021 to further enhance her knowledge and skills, ultimately leading to the founding of Compassion First in 2023. Her mission is to create inclusive programs that foster lifelong connections, personal growth, and skill development.
Driven by a passion for helping others, Deanne is devoted to teaching practical life skills and promoting active community engagement. Compassion First offers tailored support programming designed to meet the unique needs of participants, ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to thrive.
In addition to her extensive experience, Deanne holds a Social Services and Addictions Worker certificate earned with honors. She envisions a supportive environment where everyone feels valued and empowered, cultivating a sense of belonging through community involvement and connection.
Through Compassion First, Deanne aims to build a vibrant community where individuals of all abilities can receive the support they need to lead fulfilling lives while surrounded by a network of care and understanding.

When his wife decided to create Compassion First, Dan didn't just come along for the ride- he dedicated himself to helping the community she chose to serve. Having personal experience with the challenges our clients and parents face, he has become one of the most passionate supporters of our community. Dan continues to further his education to come up with creative new ideas to implement in our programs, and is dedicated to improving the lives of our members.

Dan has extensive experience in management, as well as having skills in policy and procedure. He is also our jack-of-all trades at the center- if the clients ask for it, or we break it, Dan is always there to help us out.
Dan is driven by kindness and compassion, two of our core values, and he uses both to enhance our center and improve the services we can offer our clientele.

Jonie Shea , Adult Support worker (West Prince)
Jonie finds joy in the simple moments—making someone smile, spending quality time with her family, and celebrating life's milestones. Family is a central part of who she is, and she cherishes family getaways and gatherings as opportunities to create lasting memories.
A lover of the outdoors, Jonie enjoys relaxing on the beach or taking peaceful walks along the shoreline. She also values quality time with friends during game nights, and she delights in watching her children pursue their passions and achieve their goals.
With years of experience working with neurodivergent individuals, Jonie demonstrates exceptional dedication and compassion. She consistently goes above and beyond to support those she works with, ensuring they feel understood, valued, and empowered.

Crystal Harding Adult/Youth/HomeSupport (Summerside)
Crystal is a college graduate of Community Services who has years of experience with neurodivergence, has a love of cleaning and organization and a kind, compassionate heart for her community. Outside of work, Crystal dedicates quality time with her family and friends and enjoys learning how to grow positively for herself and her children.

Jackson MacDougall, Adult/Youth Support (Summerside)
Jackson went to college for, and worked with both youth and adults previously, bringing well-rounded experience to both his roles as youth and adult support. His calm and positive attitude allows him to really connect with clients individually and build the connection to offer support as needed.
Outside of work, Jackson enjoys sports, playing in rec leagues, and hanging out with family and friends.

Creative Design and Implementation
Jeremiah brings years of experience as a skilled carpenter, and his talents will be invaluable as he helps maintain our centers, bring creative ideas to life, and assist with designing sensory boards and many other projects that Dan creates — and making them happen!
He’s not only talented but also has a beautiful family that inspires him every day. You’ll see Jeremiah around the buildings, always ready with a friendly face and a can-do attitude.

Chantelle Hill-Clow, Adult Support (Summerside)
Chantelle brings years of experience working with adults with disabilities to her role as adult support. Spontaneous and fun, she brings a creative approach to programming that makes learning skills fun for members. She likes to get involved with the activities alongside clients, allowing her to form a great bond and offer support.
Outside of work, Chantelle enjoys crafting and creativity, as well as time with family.

Youth Program
Cora has extensive experience in restaurant roles and a background in project management, she specializes in youth programming. Since 2021, she has served as the Provincial Coordinator for the Young Millionaires Program. Her passion lies in supporting youth to achieve their goals, with great joy found in witnessing their success and growth.
Hobbies & Personal Interests:
She enjoys outdoor activities such as hiking, paddleboarding, and climbing, especially when she can include her dog. She also owns Sonier Signs, a small hand-painted sign business based in the family shop in Stanley Bridge. An avid explorer of new crafts and techniques, she is committed to self-improvement and believes in empowering others to live and create their best lives.
